By day, I'm an Industrial Instrumentation Technician in the Coke & By-Products at one of the local steel mills. (The one that makes money and stays in operation.)
By night, I'm usually sleeping. 'Cause it's night. That's what people do.
When not being an Instrument Guy or sleeping, or doing the million things a husband/stepdad/home owner needs to do I follow science and technology, fix things, make things, research the things I need to fix or make... Since the Arduino revolution happened I've gotten back into electronics, hence Messy Bench. I'm also trying my hand at web design, so hopefully this site will be continually tweaked and upgraded as I learn things and steal ideas from other sites.
I couldn't decide if I wanted a regular kind of blog where I comment on the things I see or do during my days, or if I wanted to join the ranks of the blogs talking about electronics and/or DIY projects. Then I decided "Why not both?". Throw in some webcams and a little place for "The Boy" (Carson), and here we are. Enjoy.
